There is something very honest about using a point chisel and hammer to rough out a form. After finding my center with a blade a few days ago, I overcame my fear of destroying a perfectly good flake of Carrara marble by pointing my way into it.
I picked these up on my travels a couple of years ago. It felt awesome to use them again – this time with much more confidence and purpose.
So, this is where I’m headed so far…
I have to mention that I’m employing a texture method that I learned at Studio SEM watching Inger Sannes. And, the flake was given to me by Anne Kristin Vangen to help fill my shipping container. Turned out to be a nice piece of primo marble.
