Plein-Air

I recently moved out of my studio rental space, which was a twenty minute drive from my house – and was adding to my financial overhead.

I was able to resolve my electrical power needs by having a panel installed in my gardening shed. The shed really isn’t large enough to work in, but I was able to put my compressor in there to cut down on noise.

I added the tarp to extend my usable work area during the spotty rain storms we’ve had this year. The result was very reminiscent of my carving site out in Marble, CO each year at the Marble/marble carving symposium (I didn’t make it there this year – for the first time in 9 years).

Pretty rustic, but simple and effective. In fact, I managed to finish 8 new sculptures. Some that I had started and roughed out in my old place along with a few of brand new ones.
