About a month prior to the fall iron melt is the Institute’s main event – the annual sculpture symposium.

I worked with John Weidman and all four artists this year as a volunteer to help bring each of their creations into the world.
It was amazing working with these artists from around the globe making new work and installing it on the mountain. There are now nearly 80 large sculptures scattered along the trails of what used to be Big Bear ski hill. Come take a look at the AIA trails if you haven’t been yet.
